ANTONIO AMARO is a junior at Stratford High School. He is currently enrolled in Academy of Science and Engineering and Architectural Design at the Guthrie Center. At Guthrie, he has participated in design competitions and received a certification in AutoCAD (a computer aided drafting software that professional architectural firms. In his free time, he enjoys practicing an array of martial arts such as boxing and jiu-jitsu.
EMMA BALEVIC is a junior at Stratford High School who is involved in the Red Cross Club, the Academy of Science and Engineering, Stratford’s band, and Physics Club. Serving her community, Emma is actively involved in the National Honor Society, Percussion One Texans, and coaching in her neighborhood’s summer league swim team. In the fall, she participates as a snare on Stratford’s drumline and in the winter, she performs in concerts, percussion ensembles, and Class I solos. Having a fascination for space, she currently studies with NASA as a High School Aerospace Scholar with the intentions of joining the NASA Space Program.
Hi my name is Jacob best i am a part of the electric go-kart project at SHS. I am a big fan of sports and love making stuff from scratch. When i was little i helped my dad make a 1969 camaro from scratch it took 3 years but i loved every step of the process and really led me to making this project. I haven’t had much experience with creating products from that scratch in awhile but im am looking forward.
WILL CALDERHEAD IS in the senior go kart project at Stratford High School. He is excited to take part in this project because while growing up I always loved messing around with motorcycles, cars, and bicycles and now I get to do that with two other classmates. I hope to learn a lot about electric go karts and become a better welder from this project.
ESMÉ CONKRIGHT is a Senior at Stratford High School involved in Spartanaire Drill Team, National Honor Society, Student Council, and the Academy of Science and Engineering. Through these organizations she has learned leadership, time management, cooperation, integrity and has acquired a strong work ethic. She is a valedictorian in all advanced and AP classes. She has interests in both math and science and international relations, thanks to her time living across seas. Outside of school and her academic endeavors, she plays an active role in her church’s youth group, helps her community philanthropically, and loves to travel. She plans on getting her undergrad in chemical engineering and following it up with a Masters degree in business.
CONOR DONIHOO is a junior at Stratford High School. He is the first chair clarinetist at Stratford. In addition, he has also competed and placed highly in many different music competitions such as TMEA region, area, and Stratford Casa Argentina. Furthermore, he has won the title of Texas Music Scholar. He is also a math tutor for children of ages 4 to 16 and a second-degree black belt in taekwondo. He aspires to have a future career in STEM or engineering.
TYLER EGGER attends Stratford High School as a current junior apart of the class of 2019. Since his freshman year, he has been involved in distance running. In addition, Tyler is also a one year letterman in cross country as well as track and field. While running is one of his core passions, Tyler has also found a love for engineering since his first introduction to it as a member of the Academy of Science and Engineering. Because of this, Tyler aspires to have a career in the engineering field where he hopes to design something never seen before.
ELIAS GELBER Is a student at stratford high school, born and raised in houston texas. He is part of the varsity lacrosse team as well as the football program. He is also part of National Honor society and an active member of Student Council. His interest in space flight and aerodynamics led him to join ASE and pursue a better understanding of how things work. In the future, Elias hopes to study Aerospace engineering and work in a place where he can do what he loves.
JOHN PAUL GRAHAM is a junior at Stratford High school. He is involved in lacrosse, track and field, and the Academy of Science and Engineering. Having a passion for serving his community, John Paul participates in the Food for Thought Club and National Honors Society. While he is enrolled in many AP courses, John Paul is specifically fascinated by health sciences. After graduating Stratford, he plans to pursue a career in dietary needs.
My name is Sam Habel and I am a member of Stratford High School. I am a valedictorian and have been accepted into National Honor Society. I am also a member of Food for Thought, an organization helping homeless people in the community. I am an active outdoors-men who loves fishing, hunting, and sports, and have been lucky enough to be on the varsity football team for the last 2 years and plan to be on the team my senior year. I have not yet decided where I want to go to college or what I will major in, but i know that i want it to involve engineering.
RICHARD HARRIS is a junior at Stratford High School. He is a member of the Boy Scouts of America and is a life scout who is currently nearing completion of the requirements for his eagle. Furthermore, he is a member of the key club volunteering organization. He is very interested in art, and, over the course of high school, he has taken five art courses. He is currently considering careers that incorporate his artistic ability such as graphic design.
SEAN HEALY is a junior at Stratford High School. He was born in Houston, Texas and is a member of the National Honor Society and the Academy of Science and Engineering. He is a member of Stratford’s baseball team as well as a member of the Bowl of Life club. He plans to major in either Biomedical or chemical engineering. He has participated in various summer research camps at the University of Texas at Dallas and Vanderbilt University.
GERRY HOFFMAN is a student at Stratford High School. He was born in Houston, and has lived there his whole life. He is a member of National Technical Honor Society, French Honor Society, and National Honor Society. He is passionate about Engineering and Physics, and plans on majoring in aerospace engineering. He plans on pursuing a degree in aerospace engineering. He loves volunteering within his community, and enjoys helping others. He loves trying to model the world inside of computers.
JOSEPH KIM is currently a Senior at Stratford High School. He is involved in various activities such as Symphony orchestra, Tennis, HOSA, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, National Honor Society, SPCA, and Arumdri Love School. One of Joseph’s true passions lies in engineering. He hopes to study mechanical engineering at university in the future; and to deepen his knowledge in the field, he participates in Stratford’s Academy of Science and Engineering. In his free time, Joseph enjoys playing the guitar and spending time with his family.
YOUNG JUN KIM is a student at Stratford High School. He is the vice- president of the E-Sports club, member of the Heinrich Heine Club, National Honor Society, and a language teacher at the Korean Community Center. He is passionate about computer science and weapons technology and plans to major in agricultural science in college and join the Marine Corps after college. He works as a musician and programmer for small doujin circles like NitorInc, Gensokyo Radio, Hourai Teahouse, and helps plan events like Touhou Game Jam, a game design competition.
REAGAN MANSFIELD is a student at Stratford High School, and is a part of the Academy of Science and Engineering. He is a member of the varsity football team for two years as well as the varsity lacrosse team. He is involved in National Honor Society and is an active member in the community. He umpires and referees children’s baseball and basketball games as well as an active member of his church. Reagan is unsure what he wants to pursue as his major and career.
BRADAN MCLEOD is a student at Stratford High School and has been a member of the football team for four years. He is also a member on the executive board for the charity Heroes for Children. He was born and raised in Houston, Texas and has helped out in the community his whole life. Bradan spends his summers working to help teach children and hopes to pursue a career in medicine.
ISABELLA MORENO is a Senior at Stratford High School involved in Varsity Cheer, Newspaper, National Honor Society and The Academy of Science and Engineering. Outside of school she enjoys participating in Young Life, working as a cheer coach and giving back to the community with volunteering. Isa loves science and learning about new technology. She is excited to work on a project that can use technology to positively affect the community. She hopes to explore the field of business in the future at college.
ALEX NICA is a student at Stratford High School and a member of the Academy of Science and Engineering. He was born and raised in Bucharest, Romania and he moved to the US in the August of 2012. He is also involved in RGC (Retro Gaming Club), the E-Sports club, and the Heinrich Heine Club. He took a wide variety of classes and he still is unsure of what exactly he wants to major in, however he will most likely want to major in computer programming. Outside of school he likes to listen to music, play video games, watching movies and television shows, and walking.
LEON PHAM attends Stratford High School, and is a part of the Stratford Spartan band, yearbook, and Academy of Science and Engineering. In the top band he plays the bass clarinet and he participates in UIL and Solo and ensemble competitions. He partakes in many AP courses and intends to take more in the future. In his free time he loves to tinker with small objects and devices and loves to build anything he can. He wants to pursue either mechanical engineering or electrical engineering as a career.
THOMAS SATTERWHITE is a student at Stratford High School. He was born and raised in Houston, TX. His passion for science and mathematics encouraged him to join Stratford’s Academy of Science and Engineering. Thomas is enrolled in all Pre-AP and AP classes at Stratford. Thomas also participates in National Honor Society, the clubs Bowl of Life and Food for Thought, Young Life, and baseball. He loves to help out others and his community in any way he can. He is excited to begin work on his senior project and has hopes of studying a form of engineering in the future.
KYLE SCHLEINSCHOK is a hardworking and dependable student at Stratford High School. He was born and raised in Houston, Texas, and is a member of Student Council, National Honor Society, Young Life, and the football team. He is currently enrolled in a University of Texas Dual Credit program, and takes all Pre-AP and AP courses. Kyle excels at math and science courses, and enjoys being confronted with challenges. He is a valedictorian who plans to become either an aerospace or mechanical engineer.
NATHAN SCHULTE is a student at Stratford High School and and was a leader in the stratford football program. He is a member of NHS as well as an avid participant in his church and local communities. He volunteers through the boy scouts organization, and his church. He has achieved the rank of Eagle Scout through the Boy Scouts of America. Nathan is employed by his church as a referee for children's basketball games. In the future Nathan hopes to study biomedical engineering at Texas A&M University.
My name is Tim Snapp and i am currently a junior at Stratford High School. I am a member of the Stratford ASE program, player on the Stratford baseball and football teams for all years, and recently inducted into the National Honor Society. Outside of school I do lots of service work for nearby organizations, neighbors, and family. I am a member of a tournament baseball team and a recent Eagle Scout. I enjoy spending weekends with family at our Ranch and love to hunt, fish, and run cattle on the Ranch. I am planning on attending Texas A&M and majoring in Construction Science.
BEN STOWE is a Junior at Stratford High School with an interest in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). He is a Thespian involved in the Stratford Playhouse as Head of Set Crew. In addition, he is a member of the National Honor Society and a part of the Academy of Science and Engineering. Ben wants to pursue engineering during and after college. Outside of school, Ben likes to read, play soccer, socialize with friends, and spend time with family
RYAN WRIGHT is a student at Stratford High School. Born and Raised in Houston, Texas he has grown a passion for nature and the outdoors. His love for science and math drove him to joining the Academy of Science and Engineering. He is on the Baseball team, in Work Crew, and is in National Honor Society. He plans to pursue a career in mechanical engineering.
TINGTING XU is a rising senior at Stratford High School. She is a dedicated student who has a growing passion for the medical sciences. She takes a multitude of high level health related courses such as Microbiology and Pathophysiology and excels in her academic studies. She is a part of the Varsity Debate team at her school and holds the position of Vice President in Key Club. In her free time, she creates different forms of art and volunteers regularly at the Memorial Hermann Texas Medical Center.
STEVEN YOO is a senior at Stratford High School. He is a member of the National Honor Society, Health Occupation Students of America, and has been a part of the varsity soccer team for the past two years. He is a student in STEM that has a passion for mathematics and science. In the near future, he aspires to become a biomedical engineer. In order to reach his dream, he joined the Academy of Science and Engineering to learn and gain experience that will help him to be more successful
CARISSA YUN is currently a senior at Stratford High School. She is a high-achieving student who has participated in classes such as AP Physics and AP Calculus, and will continue to study high level math and sciences in the future. Additionally, Carissa is currently a member of the Stratford Orchestra, National Honor Society, and HOSA. Outside of school, Carissa enjoys drawing in her free time and volunteering through her church in events such as mission trips, VBS, and other activities. Once she has graduated high school, Carissa hopes to major in Biomedical Engineering at Texas A&M and enter the medical field after college.
